~ PC Games Guide For Windows Users ~
Please Note: Our games section is solely offered to our members as a free bonus to their subscription, and as a result we DO NOT provide e-mail support for ensuring game playback compatibility. Some of these games have very specific hardware requirements, and they may not run correctly on computers that are composed of old, or incompatible hardware. Although we have tested most of these games and confirm they can work on our testing computers, we cannot ensure that they will work on yours. That being said, we have developed this guide to try and make it as easy as possible for you to get through the installation procedure of our PC Games. It is worth at least trying, as many of these games are quite enjoyable to play (even without being able to understand Japanese). Good luck and have fun!

In order to install and play our PC games without any problems, you need to meet the following requirements:
1)You must have a Windows based computer (Windows 95/98/ME/XP/Vista or Server 2000/2003). These PC Games *cannot* be natively installed onto Mac OSX / Linux / or any other non Windows operating system.
2)You must have a decently fast download speed (Cable / DSL or faster is recommended) to help ensure quick and complete transfers of our game files / rar segments to your computer. The files in this section are very large (often 750MB - 1GB in file size on average), so you will need to have a fast download speed to ensure complete deliverability (or use a download manager like GetRight if you are on a slow connection).
3)You need to be using either Internet Explorer 6/7 or Mozilla Firefox 2.0 (or higher) to browse our website. Netscape Navigator 9.0 (or higher) and Opera 9.0 (or higher) *may* work, but we cannot guarantee their full compatibility with our website as they are not officially supported by us.
4)In most cases, our PC games must be installed onto your Windows operating system (like you would install any piece of Windows software). Since the PC games in this section are import titles that are natively in Japanese, you must enable Japanese Language Support on your Windows operating system, in order to get them both installing and running correctly. This can be done by making sure you have installed the Japanese language pack for your Windows, as well as making sure that your Unicode settings (in Regional and Language options via your Windows Control Panel) have also been set to Japanese. The steps for enabling Japanese Language Support differs between operating systems, but for the most part it is pretty straightforward:

a)Enabling Japanese Language Support In Windows 95/98/ME:
- Simply install our RichWin2000 application, it will provide the language support you need for any Windows 95/98/ME operating system.

b)Enabling Japanese Language Support In Windows XP:
- Either use our XP Japanese Language Pack, or use your Windows XP CD while following the instructions outlined in our video tutorial on "Enabling Japanese Language For Software Unicode Support" (Regional and Language Options).

c)Enabling Japanese Language Support In Windows Vista:
- Perform a Windows Update (Start -> Windows Update) and select the "Japanese Language Pack" from the list of available Windows Vista Language Packs. Then follow the instructions outlined in our video tutorial on "Enabling Japanese Language For Software Unicode Support" (Regional and Language Options).

Please Note: If you have your Unicode settings currently set to Japanese, and you wish to install software that is meant to be installed natively in English, you need to temporarily change your Unicode settings from Japanese back to English. After finishing those English software installations, when you wish to resume playing our PC games, simply set the Unicode settings back from English to Japanese. You can then leave the Unicode settings on Japanese, until you need to install another piece of English software.
5)Most of our game's installation files have been compressed into RAR file segments. These RAR files must be downloaded completely to your hard drive before you attempt to extract their contents (or you will end up getting "unexpected end of archive" errors). You must also right click the game download links and choose "save target as" (IE) or "save link as" (FF) to help ensure that the files are downloaded properly to your computer. It is recommended that you download all of the rar files for a specific game into one folder. Once all of the RAR files for a specific game have been downloaded completely to your computer, you must decompress the contents of those RAR files using WinRAR, our highly recommended file compression / decompression utility.
6)Once you have decompressed the contents of the RAR segments onto your computer, you will notice that they have outputted the game's original installation disks in a "virtual disk image" format. These disk images are "digital blueprints" of the original CDs/DVDs for the game, and in order to install them, they must be mounted inside your Windows operating system, using special software known as virtual disk emulators. We recommend Daemon Tools as our primary virtual disk emulator of choice. You must download and install Daemon Tools in order to be able to successfully mount the virtual disk images onto your computer.

Please Note: After carefully following along with our video tutorial on "Mounting Virtual Disk Images Using Daemon Tools", if you find that you have come across a virtual disk image format that is simply not supported by Daemon Tools, we recommend that you uninstall Daemon Tools, and install our second disk emulator of choice - Alcohol 52%. We currently do not have any tutorials which outline the installation and usage of Alcohol 52%, but it is relatively straightforward to use, especially if you have gotten the hang of Daemon Tools. Please DO NOT install Alcohol 52%, unless you have any problems either installing Daemon Tools, using Daemon Tools, or come across an unsupported disk image type. Alcohol 52% is generally known to support a wider format of disk images than Daemon Tools, but it is not our primary disk emulator of choice.
7)Though most of the games found in this section are import titles (natively in the Japanese language), there are a few (namely many of the games found in our Interactive PC Games area) that come with both Uncensored and English Language patches. These patches are either preinstalled into the game's installation disk images, or they are provided as separately downloadable files. Patches that are preinstalled into a game's disk image will be automatically applied upon the installation of that game into your Windows operating system. For games that have patches provided as a separate download, you must install those patches *after* installing the game itself. Usually patches need to be installed into the installation directory of the game you've installed (usually found somewhere in your C:\Program Files\ folder), in order for them to work properly. Generally patches will come with a readme.txt, or some other type of text / wordpad document, so please give the instructions a clear read before attempting to apply a patch, in order to better your chances of installing the patch successfully. Patches that we provide with our games have been tested to work before we make them available on our site, so if you find that they are not working right on your computer, chances are you have made a mistake with either installing the source game, or with applying its patch.
8)***If you experience premature transfer disruptions / completions when downloading files from our PC game archives, please install a download manager as it will help ensure the complete transfer of our files to your computer. If you have not downloaded the game's files completely to your hard drive, they will not run correctly! We recommend GetRight for our members, as it is a quality download manager. You will need to enter your login details into the download manager for it to successfully download files from our members area.

Please Note: You do not need to install a download manager if you are not having any problems downloading our files! We only recommend a download manager if our members experience prematurely interrupted / broken file transfers. Often members who do have this problem will experience "invalid file format" or "unexpected end of archive" errors when attempting to open incomplete files.
